5. The Spider-Man 3 villains

Comic book project: Spider-Man 3

What can you say about Spider-Man 3 that wasn’t said about X-Men: The Last Stand? There’s always something about the third entry in comic book movie franchises. Iron Man 3, The Dark Knight Rises and Captain America: Civil War are all looked at as the weaker parts of their trilogy but they’re still all considered great movies in their own right. Spider-Man 3 is universally despised and looked at as one of the worst comic book movies of all time. That’s a bad list to be on, but honestly, it’s an unredeemable movie with atrociously used villains.

Venom’s costume, double voice and need to eat people made him a formidable antagonist in the comics but here, he was just bad. The teeth were poorly done, the fight was forgettable, and we were left not feeling anything for Eddie Brock after he was fired from the Daily Bugle.

Then there’s Flint “Sandman” Marko. Sandman isn’t someone people are looking for unless you’re a comic book fan. However, he has potential. He’s a powerful villain that gives Spider-Man some serious problems in a fight. Instead of using his comic book persona, they made him Uncle Ben’s killer. It was an unnecessary change that took away more than it added. He could have just been a goon that Spider-Man fought after someone released him from prison. At least the fights could have been worth it.
