Are we about to see Tom Holland’s Peter Parker join forces with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Sony may have just confirmed it…

On the endless wish-list for potential Marvel Cinematic Universe adventures, one of the most common is undoubtedly the notion of a live-action Spider-Verse. For anyone not quite aware as to what that would entail, it would simply mean having the MCU’s Spider-Man (Tom Holland) cross paths with both of his live-action predecessors. In this case, that would be Tobey Maguire of the Sam Raimi trilogy and Andrew Garfield of the two Amazing Spider-Man movies.

Of the many theories in regards to the plot of the upcoming Spider-Man 3, a Spider-Verse adventure has been a recurring theme, with many speculating that Doctor Strange’s involvement in the third movie could open up Spidey and the MCU to the multiverse, allowing the other Spider-Men to come through.

Are Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man 3?

It turns out, however, that this ambitious Spider-Verse theory might not be that far-fetched. As highlighted by ComicBook.com, a video posted on the Sony Channel Latin America appears to confirm – or, at the very least, tease – the crossover we’ve been waiting for.

The video in question showcases footage of Holland, Maguire and Garfield’s respective Peter Parkers, asking the viewers: “Who is your favorite Spider-Man? You don’t have to choose — in the Marvel Multiverse, anything can happen.”

More from Marvel Cinematic Universe

To make things even more intriguing, it outright states that in “Spider-Man 3 you will quite possibly see everyone — yes — the three Peter Parker saving the world together,” before closing with a “find out more very soon” message.

Of course, we shouldn’t get our hopes up until we’ve had official confirmation via a press release from Marvel Studios or Sony but the fact that this seems to come from Sony does make it seem more legitimate than any old rumor. Then again, maybe it’s just all one big tease.

Here’s hoping we find out soon!
