Another huge MCU hero is returning in Thor: Love and Thunder

A key supporting character in the first two Thor films is now set to make her return in Thor: Love and Thunder.
In an exclusive report from Deadline, it was revealed that Jaimie Alexander is set to reprise her role as Sif in Thor: Love and Thunder and possibly in the upcoming Loki series.
Alexander did not appear in Thor: Ragnarok due to scheduling conflicts. However, this was probably for the best as the supporting characters, namely the Warriors Three, from the first two Thor films were killed and tossed aside without a second thought.
How will Lady Sif return in Thor: Love and Thunder?
With Sif making her return for Thor: Love and Thunder, Alexander is joining the already stacked cast of the film which includes Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Chris Pratt, and Christian Bale.

Bale will be the only cast member mentioned that will be playing a new character as it was announced yesterday that he will be playing Gorr the God Butcher. And with Gorr making his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Team Asgard is going to need all the firepower that he can manage.
As for the role that Sif might play in the film, she might be taking on the role that she has recently acquired in the comics. In said comics, she has taken over the role as Guardian of the Bifrost after Heimdall is killed, thus providing her a much more integral role on Asgard, as well as making her powerful enough to fight Thor – which she does at one point. This development is very, very recent in the comics, so it’s very possible that this won’t happen, but it would be an interesting development that would give MCU Sif some interesting development on top of a nice power boost.
As for her appearance in Loki, that is not as sure of a thing as her appearance in Thor: Love and Thunder is, but it would be great to see her in that series as well.
