Bane: A broken Bat

Comic book: Joker

Bane has broken Batman both physically and emotionally. But is he ever truly broken? Batman always finds a way to come back stronger and better. So, technically, Bane has never truly broken Batman. This Christmas, Bane is pleading with Santa for a way to break Batman for good. A plan so devastating that Bruce Wayne will hang up the cape and cowl for good. That said, if Santa is giving Bane gifts, then we may have to reconsider the point of the naughty and nice lists. Also, picturing Bane writing a Christmas list with his Dark Knight Rises voice is hilarious.

Franklin Richards: Superpowers

Comic book: Fantastic Four

Ever since the first volume of Dan Slott’s Fantastic Four, Franklin Richards’ powers have been waning. In Fantastic Four No. 25, Franklin lost his powers. Now he feels like he doesn’t have a place on the team. He’s not as smart as the rest of the Future Foundation and he just lost the Iron Man suit his father gave him (that was given to him by Tony Stark). So he feels like the weak link.

If anyone in comic books deserves to be on Santa’s nice list, it’s Franklin Richards. He spent years creating new realities, risking his life for the multiverse, and is willing to help even without his abilities. He deserves a win. Don’t be shocked if his powers return in 2021.
