Here are 9 MCU characters that Deadpool has to meet ahead of Deadpool 3.

It looked like the only Deadpool 3 news we were going to get for a while was the confrimation that Bob’s Burgers writers Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin would be writing the movie that is still a while off. Then, more news dropped out of the blue as Kevin Feige announced that Ryan Reynolds has met with the writing staff and that Deadpool 3 will be rated R. Here’s the bigger news though: Wade Wilson is now confirmed to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As Feige confirmed:

"“It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script right now… It will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We’ve got a number of things we’ve already announced that we now have to make, but it’s exciting for it to have begun. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life.”"

It goes without saying that this is absolutely incredible news. With Wade Wilson being an R-rated character, no one knew how that would work with Disney. Fans hoped for the best and now they have got exactly what they wanted from him.

The Merc with a Mouth is going to cause mischief all over the MCU. The possibilities are limitless, but who are the most important people that Wade Wilson must meet before, during and after Deadpool 3?

Taskmaster

Taskmaster has a very weird relationship with Deadpool in the comics. The best way to describe it with a quote right from Taskmaster, “The things I do for friends I can’t stand.” It’s not that he hates him. Wade just annoys Taskmaster. However, they’ve helped each other a number of times.

Hopefully Black Widow isn’t a one off for the live-action Taskmaster. Given their comic book history, these two have to fight and team-up on-screen at least once. Not making it happen would be leaving money on the table. And it’s not just for the fights – they’re also comedy gold. These two mercenaries bicker like the guys from Grumpy Old Men. Except with more stabbing and guns.
