This Wednesday, the season premiere of Riverdale season 5 airs on TV screens. The long-running mystery show had been off the air for months but now it’s back with new episodes.
Riverdale has been a staple of The CW for four years now. Based on the Archie Comics series, it follows a group of young characters in the chilling small town that sees drastic and unnerving events take place.
Riverdale season 5 was delayed because of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, which halted filming on season 4.

The first couple of episodes of the season will focus on wrapping up the previous season’s storyline, with Archie Andrews (KJ Apa), Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse), Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart), Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) and the rest of the gang enjoying their Prom and celebrating Graduation.
The season 5 premiere will start with Prom. However, it won’t be an easy ride to Graduation for the gang of Riverdale High with the Voyeur still looming. Furthermore, Veronica will also find out about what happened between Archie and Betty, resulting in some tears.
“Chapter Seventy-Seven: Climax” is undoubtedly going to be a huge milestone for Riverdale as its beloved characters begin to bring about the end of an era before that long-teased time-jump in a few episodes.
