Teyonah Parris confirms WandaVision’s place in MCU timeline
By Liam Clark
Teyonah Parris has provided Marvel fans with some insight about WandaVision, as the “Geraldine” actor confirms when the series takes place in the MCU timeline.
WandaVision is currently three episodes deep into the series, and fans now have an idea as to where the Disney Plus show takes place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline.
Teyonah Parris, who plays “Geraldine” in the series (who is actually a grown-up version of Monica Rambeau) provides us with the information during an interview with TVLine, where she confirms that the Disney+ series takes place right after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
During that interview, she comments:
"“[WandaVision] picks up right after the events of [Avengers:] Endgame, and for Monica, it’s obviously years later from when we saw her as a girl in Captain Marvel… we get to find out what’s been happening with her over those years that we missed, how she’s grown and evolved.”"
This confirms that the series takes place right after the events of Avengers: Endgame, giving fans a distinct place in the timeline for WandaVision – something that fans weren’t completely sure of heading into the new MCU series.

Parris also provides us with information about Monica, indicating that the character will continue to be a major part of the series as the audience discover how she has developed since appearing as a child in Captain Marvel (in which she was portrayed by Akira Akbar).
It will be interesting to see how Parris’ character develops, as Monica Rambeau continues to make appearances in the MCU and where the events of the show take the character, as the character is set to appear in Captain Marvel 2 alongside Brie Larson.
WandaVision is released weekly on Disney+ every Friday, with the first three episodes already released on the streaming platform. Captain Marvel 2 is due for release in Fall 2022.
