Marvel’s Moon Knight has found its newest directors
The Oscar Isaac-headlining series Moon Knight has tapped two additional directors.
A couple of months back, it was revealed that Mohamed Diab would be directing a considerable portion of episodes for Marvel’s Moon Knight series on Disney+. As per The Hollywood Reporter, it has now been revealed that indie filmmakers, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, will join him as directors on the series. The pair are behind sci-fi horror genre films The Endless and Synchronic.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker star Oscar Isaac has been at the center of a lot of reports as of late in regards to whether or not he would be playing the lead role in Moon Knight. That was recently confirmed by series cinematographer Gregory Middleton. Neither the actor himself, nor Marvel/Disney have made a statement as of yet but it does appear that his involvement in the show has now been confirmed.

Ethan Hawke has also been cast in the show as the main villain while May Calamawy has been cast in a mystery role, with some theorizing, though, that she could be playing this major Marvel character.
Moon Knight has been a cult mainstay in comics under Marvel for several decades. First appearing in Werewolf by Night No.32, ex-Marine-turned-mercenary Marc Spector developed many alternate personas over the years including Jake Lockley, Steven Grant and of course the white-garbed costumed vigilante Moon Knight.
Who are Moon Knight’s new directors?
The filmmaker duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are familiar with the horror genre – a genre that the Moon Knight TV series is expected to lean into – and they are also no stranger to multitasking, from writing to directing and editing.
They have both won several awards and nominations for their films in the festival circuit including a nomination at the Tribeca Film Festival.
