6 terrifying comic book realities that would be the absolute worst places to live

Comic book: Y: The Last Man
You ever wonder what would happen if every man on Earth died all at once? Well, Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra wrote a comic book showing exactly that in Y: The Last Man. At first, the carnage starts as anyone with a Y chromosome bleeds out of their orifices and dies. Planes will fall out the sky, vehicles will crash, and governments will be in disarray. It’ll be chaos. For years, the world was in shambles and the writers used that to showcase how unbalanced things were.
The inequality of the old world was exposed as those who were forced to take over did so with frustration and determination. The new world wasn’t some immediate utopia as those who were left in charge attempted to return things to normal – a new normal.
For the first decade or so, things were awful. There were a lot of unnecessary deaths, new regimes caused more pain than healing, and so many other harmful things took place. However, in the end, the world ended up becoming a better place.
New laws were put into effect so the old ways wouldn’t resurface once more. There was peace in places that never knew it and there were new advances in technology as well.
The decade -plus of a very apocalyptic world may have been worth happiness in the end – but that doesn’t mean it would have been a nice place to live in.
