WandaVision is back on screens and its fourth episode left us asking a lot of questions.

WandaVision may center around an unusual couple but that doesn’t change the fact that it is one unusual show. The Disney Plus series has been keeping Marvel fans enthralled throughout the weeks since it first premiered on the streaming service, with each subsequent episode confusing them further.

Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany have been nothing short of marvelous while reintroducing fans to their Marvel Cinematic Universe characters Wanda Maximoff and Vision in the curious sitcom environment, delivering what could very well be career-best performances for the pair.

However, the central story has been expertly handled too – something that is pretty darn spectacular considering there was no central story until this fourth episode. We knew Wanda and Vision were trying to live their lives in Westview but, aside from the unnerving interruptions, they’ve been living the high (sitcom) life without any real drama or conflict. And that has made us more eager to know what’s really going on.

Episode 4, however, lifted the veil between reality and (Wanda)fiction as it followed on from Geraldine’s unexpected departure from Westview, giving us some the answers we were looking for. In doing so, however, they only left us with more questions.

5. What’s with all the Hexagons in WandaVision?

Throughout WandaVision‘s run, fans noticed an unusual amount of hexagonal shapes take form. For starters, the outro on the show’s first sitcom episode saw a hexagonal frame envelop around Wanda and Vision’s faces as the credits rolled. The third episode’s Brady Bunch-inspired intro credits featured a lot of hexagonal frames as well. And then, Geraldine (who we now know is actually Monica Rambeau) sported hexagonal-shaped earrings.

It could have been a coincidence but, as this is Marvel we’re talking about, that was always unlikely. It became even more unlikely when Agent Jimmy Woo revealed that the energy field surrounding Westview was also hexagonal.

With that in mind, what do the hexagons represent? Well, it could have something to do with bees. Remember, the S.W.O.R.D. agent that infiltrated Westview was magically transformed into a beekeeper. Furthermore, the hexagon is also associated with A.I.M. in Marvel Comics – whose uniforms resemble the hazmat suit word by said beekeeper.

On the other hand, it might have something to do with the number six. A number often associated with the devil, 6 could be a reference to Marvel’s version of the devil known as Mephisto – a character many think might be involved in the plot of WandaVision.
