The CW has unveiled a new trailer for The Flash season 7 revealing how Barry Allen is more determined than ever to get his wife Iris West-Allen back.
It won’t be long until The Flash season 7 is back on our screens. The veteran Arrowverse series will return in a month after being off the air for nearly a year following the complete production shutdown it faced (along with virtually every other TV and film production) during its sixth season last spring.
Though it has experienced a number of delays since, moving from January to February before The CW settled on March 2, the show’s comeback is almost upon us. But to keep us going until its return, the network has released a brand new trailer (via Entertainment Weekly), revealing what fans can expect to see from the seventh season.
This is technically the second trailer for The Flash season 7 that The CW has released. However this one contains only new footage (the previous DC FanDome trailer could only showcase a few seconds of new footage because filming had yet to resume) and can be watched below:

The trailer suggests that this season will indeed be picking up where the previous season left off, with Barry Allen using what little speed he has left in order to rescue his beloved wife Iris West-Allen. However, once again proving that she is far from a damsel in distress, Iris will continue to investigate ways that she can break free from the Mirrorverse.

Barry and Iris have proven time and again why they are the Arrowverse’s strongest couple and it’s clear from watching this trailer that they will continue to do so in the seventh season. And honestly, we can’t wait to see them celebrate their long-awaited reunion.
What’s also interesting is that Tom Cavanagh once again seems to be reprising his role as the treacherous Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash. We knew he was returning, but the fact that it’s happening so soon makes it all the more exciting.
What awaits Barry, Iris and Team Flash as they battle Eva McCulloch/Mirror Master and the Reverse-Flash in The Flash season 7? Moreover, what awaits them after they win those battles and start the storyline originally meant to kick off season 7? Time – and the Speed Force – will tell.
The Flash season 7 premieres on Tuesday, March 2 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
