WandaVision: 5 Best Moments from “All-New Halloween Spooktacular!”
By Liam Clark
4. Pietro is aware of the fabricated reality
Evan Peters’ appearance at the end of the fifth episode was major. The cameo seemingly connects the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Fox’s X-Men franchise, as Peters seemingly returned to play the version of Pietro Maximoff that he played in the X-Men franchise.
However, while there are a number of theories surrounding the sudden appearance of Wanda’s seemingly-dead brother, with Wanda constantly shown to be quizzing him throughout the episode, this character does indeed have the memories of Wanda’s Pietro.
While this may be the case, Pietro is also aware of Wanda’s fabricated reality, much to Wanda’s surprise. Comments such as mentioning that the children only come out for holiday episodes, and coming into the series to cause trouble and mischief showcased that Pietro is very aware that none of what he is seeing is real.
This leads to the question as to whether he is actually Pietro, with the character even getting his own zombie moment (like Vision in the fourth episode), as Wanda sees her brother dead and riddled with bullets. The character also seems hell bent on causing chaos in Westview, which could lead to a popular theory about a certain demon making his debut in the MCU.
Whatever the case may be, it is a certain that Pietro’s appearance in Westview is not coincidental and that all will be revealed in the coming episodes…
