3. Tommy and Billy have powers!

While the debut of their comic book-inspired Halloween costumes was exciting, what was more exciting was the abilities the twins were discovered to have throughout the episode. Much like their mother and uncle, the two twins are revealed to have powers.

For Tommy, he discovers that he has super-speed like his uncle Pietro. This allows him to run around and collect candy, while antagonising the town of Westview by causing mischief. His idolisation of his uncle and the bonding he has with Pietro throughout this episode makes super-speed the perfect power for him.

However, it is Billy whose power is most relevant to the plot, as the character is the one to sense that his father is in trouble (as Vision tries to escape the Hex). Billy’s powers are much like his mother’s in theory, as he is able to see the soldiers on the outside of the Hex and that his father is dying by trying to exit the reality. This moment leads to that big ending (which will be discussed shortly).

While their powers certainly are not developed, expect the two characters to develop a great deal, bringing them closer to their comic book roots as Wiccan and Speed – which could potentially pave the way for the pair to join an MCU version of the Young Avengers in the future.
