Riverdale season 5 returns to The CW with the fifth episode of its fifth season. Here’s how you can watch “Chapter Eighty-One: The Homecoming” online.

This Wednesday, a new episode of Riverdale season 5 airs on The CW. The teen thriller TV series returned to the network last month and now it’s back with another installment.

Last week’s episode of Riverdale completely changed the game for the show. Taking place seven years after that long-planned time-jump, it was initially meant to serve as the season premiere. Unfortunately, that couldn’t happen because the shutdown of production last year meant that the remaining season 4 episodes needed to be carried over to this season.

Last week’s honorary premiere saw Archie Andrews return to town after spending years in the army. He reunited with Toni Topaz, Kevin Keller and Fangs Fogarty but realized that the town was not the same Riverdale he left behind.

Meanwhile, Jughead Jones had become a writer in New York, Betty Cooper an FBI Agent and the “She-Wolf of Wall Street” Veronica Lodge was now married to a wealthy husband. All of them received calls from Archie and they made their way back to Riverdale. From there, it was all about rescuing the town from Hiram Lodge’s grip once more.

Will the reunited friends be able to save Riverdale or will old wounds prevent them from pulling off one more caper?
