WandaVision: Who is the aerospace engineer helping Monica Rambeau?
WandaVision has been teasing us with Monica Rambeau’s friend that just so happens to be aerospace engineer but did Episode 7 reveal their true identity?
WandaVision has been full to the brim with tidbits and references to the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Disney Plus show has kicked off Phase Four of the MCU in memorable fashion and it has done so by making sure to include plenty of nods to the three phases that came before.
While the show’s main narrative contains many intriguing plot threads that may or may not be tied to Marvel Comics, one potential plot thread that has really gotten fans excited is the mystery surrounding Monica Rambeau’s mysterious aerospace engineer contact.
Did Episode 7, “Breaking the Fourth Wall”, provide any insight into the aerospace engineer’s identity?
Who is the aerospace engineer in WandaVision?
WandaVision has yet to reveal the identity of the aerospace engineer (we think). Episode 7 saw Monica Rambeau meet with the team that were loyal to her – a team headed by Major Goodner. While some fans are convinced that she is the contact Monica was referring to (because she had the vehicle that was being built for Monica to break through the Hex), others aren’t simply because actor Teyonah Parris teased the huge reveal, stating that she couldn’t wait to see fans’ reactions. Thus, it has to be a comic book character, right?
Popular theories for the aerospace engineer’s true identity are Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic from the Fantastic Four and Blue Marvel.
While either one of those would make for popular choices, it’s safe to say that the majority of fans are hoping for the former as it would officially introduce a Fantastic Four member into the MCU. We know that Marvel’s First Family will debut in Jon Watts’ Fantastic Four film in the future, but Marvel do love to plan ahead, so an appearance from Reed Richards isn’t entirely out of the question. As for who could play him? Well, John Krasinski has always been fans’ No. 1 choice.
The other theory, however, is that Major Goodner is the aerospace engineer in question and that she is, in fact, a Skrull in disguise.
One way or another, we’ll find out sooner rather than later.
