WandaVision has been a massive hit for Marvel Studios, however is there a second season in the works?

WandaVision has taken the world by storm, as it has become one of the most popular series currently streaming. The Disney Plus show focuses on Wanda and Vision’s life after Avengers: Endgame in the town of Westview, as each episode focuses on a different decade of sitcoms.

Despite the hilarity from the sitcom approach and the typical MCU comedy, the main pull of the series is the mystery behind the situation Wanda and Vision find themselves in.

Bearing in mind the variety of character reveals such as the return of Pietro Maximoff (or should I say Peter Maximoff?) and the reveal at the end of the previous episode, the series still allegedly has some major reveals left.

Will there be a WandaVision season 2?

There has been plenty of speculation about whether WandaVision could have a second season, along with the other Disney+ shows. Considering the show’s major success, WandaVision season 2 is definitely a possibility should it get the green light by Marvel Studios.

However, according to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, a second season of WandaVision is not currently in the works on Disney+. This is mainly due to WandaVision heading directly into the feature film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

While Feige did not decline the prospect of the show getting a second season in the future, it seems that the continuation of the series is currently not on the cards. He commented:

"“The fun of the MCU is obviously all the crossover we can do between series, between films. So it will vary based on the story. Sometimes it will go into a season 2, sometimes it will go into a feature and back into a series… Sometimes, and yet to be announced, we’re thinking of and planning second seasons for some of the upcoming series.”"

It seems that Feige and Marvel Studios may have plans for continuing some of the shows they have coming up on Disney+ in the future. A second season of Loki was seemingly confirmed back in January.

We shall see whether Feige and Marvel Studios have a surprise announcement about a second season of the show soon, but for now Wanda Maximoff will be making her next appearances in the remaining episodes of WandaVision and the Doctor Strange sequel.
