Is Tyler Hoechlin playing Superman in new DCEU reboot?
Superman is set to return to the big screen in the DCEU but is Tyler Hoechlin playing the Man of Steel?
Superman is one of DC Comics’ most beloved heroes. The Man of Steel has been a part of the DC landscape for decades, flying through the air and saving everyone in need.
He’s been a part of both the big and small screen for decades too, starring in many of his own film and TV shows. However, after some time away from both, he has returned to one and the wheels have been set in motion for his return to another.
Deadline has revealed that Warner Bros. is currently in the process of rebooting Superman on the big screen in a new movie. Though there have been rumors of a potential Man of Steel 2 for years, Warner Bros. may have decided against it. Henry Cavill might still reprise his DCEU role, but there are already rumors that we could see a new name take center stage in the Man of Steel reboot.
Will Tyler Hoechlin play Superman in the Man of Steel 2 reboot?
It’s unknown if Tyler Hoechlin would star in Warner Bros.’ Superman reboot. The star currently portrays the character on the small screen in both The CW’s Superman & Lois and Supergirl.
Hoechlin received acclaim for his performance as the Man of Steel in Superman and Lois. The show premiered to great ratings on the network earlier this week and it was one of the biggest talking-points in the world of comic books all week.

A cinematic spectacle on the small screen, viewers thought it was the best traditional portrayal of the Man of Steel since Christopher Reeve’s iconic portrayal, praising it for feeling like a Superman movie.
Naturally, this has fans wondering if Hoechlin would make the perfect big-screen Superman? After that premiere, it’s hard to argue with them, but the likelihood of Warner Bros. choosing their TV Superman to appear on the big screen seems unlikely when they didn’t do so with Grant Gustin’s Flash or Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl.
Hoechlin and Cavill would both be worthy of the role, but we’ll have to wait and see who Warner Bros. decides to cast their Man of Steel.
