WandaVision’s penultimate episode gave us some answers, but it left us in need of so many more ahead of the finale.

WandaVision is preparing to wrap up its nail-biting run on Disney Plus. The Marvel Cinematic Universe show has been worth every second of the long wait without MCU content as it has found innovative ways to reintroduce us to that iconic universe.

With Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) living in bliss after being “married”, the first episode of WandaVision set up a premise that neither Wanda or Vision could truly comprehend. And it soon became clear that nothing in this sitcom offshoot of reality that Westview was was actually real.

Fast forward seven episodes and we finally know the truth about how Westview, Vision and Wanda’s blissful new life came to be. As for the reason it began falling apart? Well, that was all down to the dastardly Agatha Harkness – a witch who made her presence felt when she sensed the power of the Hex.

With the finale remaining, WandaVision will no doubt go out with a bang. But as we look ahead to Episode 9, let’s look at some of the questions we have after Episode 8, “Previously On”.

5. Who is Pietro Maximoff in WandaVision?

It’s one of the many questions we have been asking about WandaVision all season: Who is Pietro? Claiming to be Wanda’s brother and yet sporting the face of her brother from another universe, Evan Peters’ “Pietro” looks eerily like Peter Maximoff from the X-Men film series. But it’s been weeks since he first showed up and we still have little answers.

Episode 8, however, shed some light on the situation. Agatha confirmed that he wasn’t actually Wanda’s brother and that “Fietro” (a.k.a. Fake Pietro) was used as her eyes and ears. She was, however, very specific to say that he wasn’t literally an offshoot of her but, again, her eyes and ears nonetheless.

The fans still think there is more to this than meets the eye and they could very well be right. Is he actually Mephisto in disguise? Or is this really the Quicksilver from the X-Men film series under Agatha’s spell?

After his run-in with Monica Rambeau last week (and the fact that neither appeared in Episode 8), we know he’ll be back in the finale. But will we finally get the answers we’ve been waiting on? Is he Mephisto? Is he Peter Maximoff? We’ll get our answers in the WandaVision finale.
