6. Rome Flynn

If you aren’t familiar with Rome Flynn, you will be soon. His star continues to be on the rise, especially after appearing in the final season of the Viola Davis-starrer How to Get Away with Murder. And, he was recently cast as a recurring character on the Netflix series Dear White People.

Flynn was campaigning for the role of Superboy, a character who has since been played by Joshua Orpin on HBO Max’s Titans. We can all agree that he deserves a promotion to be the latest actor to step into Superman’s boots.

Flynn certainly has the dramatic chops and since his social media images tend to veer towards his gym regimen, there’s no arguing that he’s got what it takes to punch out villains like Lex Luthor and Zod.

5. Henry Golding

He captured viewers’ hearts as the wealthy and romantic Nick Young in the smash hit Crazy Rich Asians. Fans have been calling for Henry Golding to bag a leading role in a major franchise ever since. Golding is reportedly starring as Snake Eyes in a G.I. Joe spin-off, so a superhero role should be next in line.

His short but prolific acting career includes roles that are comedic, dramatic and full of action. With Golding’s charm and exceptional good looks, he would be an ideal candidate as the Boy Scout in Blue. In light of the increasing violence against Asian-Americans, reimagining the iconic hero for the reboot would be a powerful statement for representation.
