John Diggle could become Green Lantern on The Flash season 7

Arrow’s John Diggle, played by David Ramsey, will visit Barry Allen and Team Flash on The Flash season 7 and the showrunner has teased what we can expect.

A couple of months back, it was confirmed that Arrow star David Ramsay will not only be reprising his role as John Diggle in the Arrowverse, but he will also be directing five episodes across the universe of shows, including episodes of Superman & Lois, Supergirl, The Flash, Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow. Moreover, the Supergirl offering is penned by star Azie Tesfai.

Via TVLine, showrunner Eric Wallace has teased Diggle’s visit on The Flash which is set to open its seventh season this coming Tuesday, March 2.

Will John Diggle become Green Lantern on The Flash season 7?

Last we saw of David Ramsey’s John Diggle, he was moving to Metropolis with his family when a meteor crashed nearby. He then came across a box in wreckage that shone an emerald glow, suggesting that he may indeed be following that long-teased Green Lantern destiny.

We don’t yet know if this will be explored further in the future, but Wallace did give fans a little tease of what to expect when he appears on the show. He commented:

"“When we last saw Diggle, he had a situation at the end of Arrow that he needed to deal with, so he arrives to help Team Flash in the back half of the season carrying the weight of that ‘problem’. And the question is: How can he help Team Flash when he’s got something even bigger on his mind? And that’s what the story is.”"

Whatever the dilemma Diggle has (and if it relates to that Green Lantern mystery), it might be something so big that he will need Barry Allen, Supergirl, Superman, Batwoman and the Legends’ help (hence his appearances on all five shows).
