The Falcon and The Winter Soldier release date: When does the MCU show start?
Finished WandaVision? Here’s when the next Marvel series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, will come out on Disney Plus.
2021 hasn’t long started and Marvel Studios has made an impression already. Its first ever series, the Marvel Cinematic Universe continuation that is WandaVision, has had the world talking about it over the course of its nine-episode run so it’s no surprise that it became the most popular show of the year thus far.
Episode 9 brings the show full-circle, wrapping up Wanda and Vision’s Westview story. But fear not MCU fans, for the Disney Plus Marvel era is only just beginning.
The second Marvel Studios series that fans are undoubtedly looking forward to is The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and we don’t have to wait long for it to hit screens.
When does The Falcon and the Winter Soldier come out?
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier premieres on Disney Plus on Friday, March 19. That’s two weeks after the finale of WandaVision, meaning that fans just have to go one week without any new MCU content.
After the year-and-a-half wait between Spider-Man: Far From Home and WandaVision, it’s safe to say that Disney and Marvel Studios are spoiling fans with all this Disney Plus content.
How many episodes does The Falcon and the Winter Soldier have?
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will run for six episodes. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed this after announcing that each of the Disney Plus shows will essentially be six-hour movies. Thus, while WandaVision was nine multi-length episodes and She-Hulk will be ten 30-minute episodes, Falcon and Winter Soldier will run for six hour-long installments.
The upcoming MCU series features Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier as the pair set about carrying on the legacy of their friend Steve Rogers a.k.a. Captain America.
