WandaVision finale: 5 burning questions after episode 9
2. How will Wanda return in Doctor Strange 2?
It has been common knowledge for some time now that Elizabeth Olsen will be bringing Wanda back in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The Scarlet Witch is expected to resurface in the movie as she and Doctor Stephen Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) reunite in a movie that will either see the pair team up or face off against one another (or both!).
How will Wanda find herself crossing Strange’s path? Agatha did inform her that the Scarlet Witch is supposed to possess powers that even outmatch the Sorcerer Supreme. Following the Ancient One’s demise, it seems like Strange is now the MCU’s Sorcerer Supreme. Does that mean he and Wanda are set to put the Darkhold’s theory to the test?
If Wanda is about to go down a dark path, she may need Strange’s help to resist it. But that’s not all she may need his help with.
1. Are Tommy and Billy still alive?
One of the most heartbreaking moments from the WandaVision season finale came when Wanda and Vision tucked their twin sons, Tommy and Billy, into bed, knowing that when the Hex came down they would cease to exist. And, like many of us had wondered – and feared – that’s exactly what happened… or is it?
The post-credit scene in which Wanda was astral projecting so that she could study the Darkhold ended when the Scarlet Witch heard her children’s voices calling her for help. Yes, one of fans’ more hopeful predictions came true as it became clear that the kids’ journey was not going to end with WandaVision.
How they return and where they were calling her from remains to be seen, but the scene certainly suggested that Wanda will be going to whatever dimension – or, uh, earth – to rescue them.
Whatever questions you have about Billy and Tommy’s current status, it does feel like they’ll return at some point. After all, the Young Avengers need Wiccan and Speed!
