Lucifer fans are very excited about the show’s return to Netflix, so here’s everything we know about Lucifer season 5, part 2.

Tom Ellis’ sarcastic hell-raiser will return to screens in the second part of Lucifer‘s fifth season. The former Fox TV series already unveiled the first half of season 5 last summer and fans have been chomping at the bit for the second part ever since.

Lucifer is one of Netflix’s biggest TV series. The beloved show has been a major part of the streaming service’s line-up ever since Netflix picked it up for a fourth season. That was the outcome of one of the most passionate fan campaigns to save a TV show in history. Since then, Lucifer has thrived on the streaming platform.

Below, you’ll find all the up-to-date information you need about Lucifer season 5 part 2, its premiere on Netflix, its cast, any trailers and more.

Lucifer season 5, part 2 release date

Lucifer season 5, part 2 is expected to be released in mid 2021. The first part of the season was released in August 2020 and, though fans hoped that the second installment would come around six months later, that has not been the case (as of yet).

Production on the fifth season has wrapped as work on the sixth and final season is underway, so it’s safe to say that the second part of season 5 will arrive on Netflix soon. It’s only a matter of when.

Curiously, Lucifer was recently moved to Netflix’s “Worth The Wait” section and, as a result, fans have begun speculating that the new season is imminent.

Lucifer season 5, part 2 cast

Lucifer season 5, part 2 will once again feature Tom Ellis reprising his role as Lucifer Morningstar. He won’t be the only one to return, of course, as Lauren German will return as Chloe Decker, Kevin Alejandro as Daniel Espinoza, D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Maze, Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin and Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez.

Scarlett Estevez is also expected to appear as Trixie, Inbar Lavi will return as Eve and Dennis Haysbert will appear as God.

Lucifer season 5, part 2 trailer

Netflix has yet to release a trailer for Lucifer season 5, part 2. Though production on the season has been completed, it was wrapped up much later than anticipated because of the multiple production delays following the outbreak of the novel coronavirus COVID-19.

That said, Netflix usually holds off on releasing trailers for their upcoming shows and/or seasons until the release date is on the horizon, so once the trailer surfaces, the premiere of the new season will soon follow.

What is Lucifer season 5, part 2 about?

While it’s not fully known what Lucifer season 5 part 2 will be about, there are a number of plot threads that will be explored.

Of course, the biggest talking point is the arrival of God – who has been teased on the show since the very beginning. After Michael arrived in the first half of season 5, this is another major story move as the show heads into its sixth season.

Moreover, it will also explore Chloe and Lucifer’s relationship. Though “Deckerstar” has always been part of the show, it’s likely that it will get more prominent with season 6 in sight.
