Barry Allen is looking to engineer a brand new Speed Force. The fallout of Crisis On Infinite Earths resulted in him losing his speed. However, a heartbreaking sacrifice in the previous episode saw that Speed Force come to life and Barry regained his speed.

Barry’s wife, Iris West-Allen, remains trapped in the Mirrorverse but she is refusing to succumb to Eva McCulloch’s dastardly plan. While Barry and Team Flash at S.T.A.R. Labs refuses to give up on her, she will also continue her plan to find a way to escape from the inside.
This upcoming second episode will see Barry experience a unique side-effect to his newfound speed. The Scarlet Speedster will now have the gift of speed-thinking but that will undoubtedly cause a number of its own issues right there.
