Will WandaVision air a new bonus episode today, March 12?
WandaVision has been streaming new episodes on Disney Plus every Friday. But can we expect a new one this week?
WandaVision has been all that film and TV fans have been talking about for the past two months. The Disney Plus series marked a comeback for the Marvel Cinematic Universe – which hadn’t released any new installments in over a year.
The nine-episode run was critically acclaimed. A series that reintroduced viewers to some of their favorite MCU characters, it took unexpected twists and sudden turns that few were expecting.
Originally set in a sitcom-like alternate reality, the show saw Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) reunited “in front of a live studio audience”. However, over the course of its run, we all discovered that not everything was as it seemed in the quaint little town of Westview.
Is WandaVision new today, March 12?
Unfortunately, WandaVision will not be streaming a new episode tonight. Though Friday is indeed its usual slot to air, there has been a change to Disney Plus’ schedule as the show has come to an end. Its final episode, “The Series Finale” premiered on the streamer last week and it saw the Scarlet Witch take on Agatha Harkness in a visually-stunning final battle.
There were rumors of Disney Plus dropping an unexpected bonus tenth episode but that won’t happen as the finale wrapped up all of the show’s main storylines while the leftover ones will be tackled in upcoming films Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Captain Marvel 2 and perhaps even Spider-Man: No Way Home.
When does WandaVision return to Disney Plus?
It’s unknown if there will be a second season of WandaVision right now. The show concluded last week and, even though there have been rumors of a season 2, that seems unlikely at this point in time.
It could always change but it seems that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and director Matt Shakman believe the story has been told for now.
