Kiersey Clemons will be reprising her role as Iris West in the Andy Muschietti-helmed The Flash movie.

As revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, Kiersey Clemons has closed a deal with Warner Bros. Pictures to reprise the role of Iris West in the upcoming The Flash movie. She will star opposite Ezra Miller who is portraying the titular role as the Fastest Man Alive in the DCEU film.

When Andy Muschietti first took over from John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein as director for The Flash, there was a lot of uncertainty about the film – and part of that uncertainty was in regards to whether Clemons would reprise her role as Iris in the film or not.

Clemons first portrayed Iris – valiant reporter of Central City’s Picture News – in Justice League. However, her role was cut ahead of the film’s theatrical release in 2017. That deleted scene eventually made its way online.

That scene is expected to be featured in Zack Snyder’s upcoming “Snyder Cut” of the film and can be enjoyed when the most-anticipated four-hour feature premieres on HBO Max on March 18.

Kiersey Clemons returns to the DCEU in The Flash

It will be interesting to see if there will be more of Iris in Zack Snyder’s Justice League than that scene and it will also be interesting to see what kind of role she will play in The Flash. Comic book fans – as well as fans of The CW’s TV series The Flash – know the importance of Iris West, so there is no doubt Clemons will be playing a huge part in the heavily-anticipated film.
