This Tuesday night, a new episode of The Flash season 7 premieres on The CW. The Arrowverse show has only just recently kicked off its seventh season but this one is a special episode.
The first couple of episodes of The Flash season 7 have been those which were carried over from season 6. This makes this upcoming installment the originally-planned season 6 finale.

Season 6 saw Barry Allen lose his super-speed again. However, after regaining it by creating his own artificial Speed Force, he was once again forced to relinquish it when he lost the one thing that makes the Scarlet Speedster who he is: His heart. And that heart did everything it could to save the woman who took up residence in it – Barry’s wife, Iris West-Allen.
Now serving as the third episode of the seventh season, “Mother” will see Mirror Master Eva McCulloch take control of Central City in a bid to prove that the real earth belongs to the Mirrorverse duplicate. It will be up to Team Flash to stop her and restore the balance.
However, the arrival of a familiar face and the beginning of season 7’s storylines suggest things in Central City are going to keep offering up a little more of the impossible for Team Flash.
