Zemo and U.S. Agent aren’t Agatha Harkness

The most difficult part the audience will have to get over is the differences in the villains. WandaVison had Agatha Harkness and Tyler Hayward. Now, Hayward may be like some of the antagonists that Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes will battle – evil government personas with ulterior motives, especially as they may have U.S. Agent John Walker ready to be their Captain America puppet. So, yes, Hayward and U.S. Agent will no doubt have some things in common. Zemo and Agatha, however, will not have many similarities.

Zemo was responsible for a lot of death and destruction. He did it because the Avengers indirectly caused the death of his family – a vendetta that he’s not going to let go. Agatha, on the other hand, is just pure evil. She didn’t have any justifiable rationale for her actions. Not that Zemo did either but he was motivated by love and tragedy – powerful driving forces. Agatha just wanted power and she was okay with hurting anyone to get it.

Zemo will be a great antagonist in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier – someone that Sam and Bucky will have to use their minds to defeat. He will certainly bring in some people that will battle them physically (hopefully the Thunderbolts). He may even go hands-on at times (though he isn’t on Sam or Bucky’s fighting level). Whatever happens, don’t go in expecting Zemo to be a villain like Agatha. It won’t end well.
