Zack Snyder’s Justice League is coming to HBO Max tonight
The heavily anticipated Snyder Cut hits screens tonight as Zack Snyder’s Justice League debuts on HBO Max.
It once seemed like it would never happen. The eagerly sought-after “Snyder Cut” was little more than a dream that many thought would never see the light of day. Now, it’s about to hit screens as Zack Snyder’s Justice League releases on HBO Max on March 18, 2021.
Director Zack Snyder’s vision will finally be seen by the millions of people he originally intended to show it to (before it turned into the controversial and critically-panned Justice League that Joss Whedon took the reins on following Snyder’s departure).
An infamous missed opportunity for the DCEU, the theatrical cut of the movie was a low point for the franchise – one that forced the creatives at Warner Bros. to press pause on their plans and quietly reset them.
Though they successfully pulled themselves out of those dark days, still, the demand for the Snyder Cut of Justice League remained. And Warner Bros. listened to the passionate fanbase as it announced in the summer that the film would journey to HBO Max in 2021.
What time is Zack Snyder’s Justice League coming to HBO Max?
Zack Snyder’s Justice League will debut on HBO Max at 12:01 a.m. PT. That means that, for those on the East Coast, it will premiere at 3:01 a.m. ET.
The film cost $70 million to complete and it is comprised of both existing footage – much of which wasn’t used in the theatrical cut – and recent reshoots involving actors like Ben Affleck and Jared Leto. As a result, it will run for four hours.
The re-released film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen and JK Simmons.
