The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has arrived on Disney Plus, but just how long is the premiere episode?

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has premiered on Disney Plus. Eager to follow on from the overwhelming success of WandaVision, Marvel Studios has released the premiere episode of their next venture back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes back in each other’s lives after the events of Avengers: Endgame, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier sees the unlikely pair team up to battle a new threat from an old enemy.

Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan return in their respective roles and they are joined by fellow MCU returnees Emily Van Camp, Daniel Brühl and Georges St-Pierre who reprise their respective roles as Agent Sharon Carter, Baron Helmut Zemo and Georges Batroc.

There has been much intrigue as to how long this series is. While WandaVision ran for nine shorter episodes, the fact that this one has less episodes automatically means that its installments would be longer.

How long is The Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode 1?

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s series premiere clocks in at 49 minutes. That is, of course, with credits. The episode is 42 minutes without credits – which puts it in and around the length of a normal American network TV show.

This lines up with what Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed about the show back when he confirmed that it would run for six hour-long episodes. According to Fiege, each of the respective Disney Plus Marvel shows will consist of a six-hour runtime when their episodes are combined.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier adds a new episode to Disney+ every Friday.
