Matt Reeves celebrates The Batman wrapping production with revealing social media post
Matt Reeves has revealed that The Batman has finally wrapped shooting.
With Zack Snyder’s Justice League (which just made its debut on March 18) now available on HBO Max, the most-anticipated DCEU movie on the horizon is arguably the Robert Pattinson-led The Batman film helmed by Matt Reeves.
As reported by Collider, the director/writer himself took to Twitter to confirm that the film had wrapped production in the UK. The post gave fans a glimpse into the last day of shooting.
The Batman is one step closer to its release
The Alfred Hitchcock-influenced, detective-centric The Batman has, like most movies in production last year, had its fair share of challenges. Since shooting began in January 2020, production was suspended multiple times. The second delay resulted in Warner Bros. pushing the release date back from Oct. 1 to March 4, 2022.

As for which villains the Caped Crusader will be taking on in this picture, there were rumors of multiple villains appearing over the past two years – although it has since been confirmed that Catwoman, The Penguin, Carmine Falcone and The Riddler will be crossing paths with Pattinson’s Dark Knight in the movie.
It suddenly feels like the movie is a lot more tangible now that it has been able to wrap production.
Focusing on a young, but established caped crusader relatively early into his crime-fighting career The Batman stars Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Jayme Lawson and Peter Sarsgaard.
Matt Reeves is directing from a screenplay he has co-written with Peter Craig. Reeves and Dylan Clark are producing for 6th and Idaho Productions in association with DC Films. Warner Bros. Pictures is set to distribute. The Batman is expected to hit theaters on March 4, 2022.
