With its seven-year time-jump well underway, Riverdale is more different than ever before. That didn’t stop Archie Andrews from figuring out that he still wants to be with Veronica Lodge, nor did it prevent Jughead Jones and Betty Cooper from investigating the inexplicable.

We’re almost directly in the middle of the season and things may be different in Riverdale but certain things never change – especially how dark and unnerving the town itself and the secrets that lie beneath it are. However, after this week’s midseason finale, we’re going to have to wait some time for the next episode.
Riverdale season 5 is set to embark on a long hiatus. The show will be leaving screens temporarily after the tenth episode. In its place will be The CW’s much-anticipated Kung Fu reboot, which will air in its timeslot for the remainder of the TV season. Riverdale will then return for the back half of its current season on July 9.
