Lucifer season 5, part 2 is not coming to Netflix in Spring 2021
Lucifer season 5, part 2 is not coming to Netflix in the immediate future but its arrival is imminent.
To say that fans have been excited for Lucifer season 5, part 2 would be a huge understatement. The long-running former network TV series has an incredibly passionate and devoted fanbase who were able to do the unthinkable a few years back and successfully campaign for its return (after Fox decided to cancel it three seasons in). That passion convinced Netflix to bring it back for a fourth season before they ultimately renewed it for two more.
Lucifer season 5 debuted on the streaming service back in August 2020. Like its predecessor, it instantly made its way to the top of Netflix’s Top 10 list as the devoted “Lucifans” tuned in in their droves to see what Mr. Morningstar, Detective Chloe Decker and the rest of the gang got up to.
With Michael showing up to take his brother’s place in the world, there were a lot of old wounds exposed in the first half of the season. That, coupled with Lucifer’s return has left fans excited to see where the second half goes. Unfortunately, they’ll have to wait a little longer.
Netflix has released their film and TV line-up for April 2021 and Lucifer season 5b is nowhere in sight, meaning that it won’t be arriving on screens just yet. But wait, there’s more!
Lucifer season 5 part 2 release date
The reason that Lucifer season 5 part 2 is not among Netflix’s April premieres is down to the fact that Netflix have only just confirmed the show’s return date.
That’s right Lucifans, Lucifer season 5 part 2 will kick off a hot summer as it premieres on May 28, 2021.
Season 5 consists of 16 episodes overall, so as 5a already streamed eight episodes, season 5b will also consist of eight. All eight will be unveiled at once so that fans can binge them at the same time.
