The Flash season 7 will be taking an extended break from our screens but when does it return from its hiatus?

The Flash season 7 was finally able to kick off after a number of delays and Arrowverse fans have been absolutely thrilled to see it back.

It understandably set aside some time to wrap up the season 6 story arcs first, using its first three episodes to bring a close to Mirror Monarch’s story. But in restoring Barry Allen’s speed for that battle, Team Flash inadvertently unleashed a new threat that is only just beginning to emerge.

The four Flash Forces have been released into the atmosphere, meaning that the Sage Force, the Strength Force, the Still Force and, of course, the Nora Allen-lookalike Speed Force are all out there.

The team have already come across them all, with Fuerza, Psych and Deon Owens all proving to be formidable foes with the forces they represent. Meanwhile Speed Force Nora stayed with Barry and Iris to recover from attacks she suffered at the hands of the other Forces.

Unfortunately, Team Flash’s newest adventures will be taking a temporary departure from our screens for a midseason hiatus. Like Superman and Lois and Riverdale, it will be off our screens for sometime now. However, in good news, it won’t be gone for quite as long as either of those shows.

When does The Flash season 7 return?

The Flash season 7 is expected to return to The CW on Tuesday, May 4, at 8:00 p.m. ET. The next episode, season 7 episode 8, will be titled “The People v. Killer Frost” and it will see Frost’s trial unfold as she faces consequences for her actions when she was aligned with Savitar and Ammunet Black.

It’s not quite known what else will await Barry Allen and Team Flash in the next installments, but with Godspeed on the horizon and more new threats waiting to attack Central City, you can bet the season’s next “graphic novel” will be explosive.

Though it will be off the air for a few weeks, fellow Arrowverse show Supergirl will continue to air its sixth and final season on Tuesdays, so make sure you keep watching it! Batwoman season 2 will also continue to air new episodes on Sunday nights. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 6 premieres on May 2, while Superman & Lois returns on May 18.
