Best DC movies and shows on HBO Max: Justice League: War

Justice League: War, which serves as a sequel to Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, contains a storyline that is very similar to both the terrible 2017 Justice League film and the much better Zach Snyder’s Justice League. The narrative for the 18th film in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies and the second flick of the DC Animated Movie Universe is based on Justice League: Origin created by Geoff Johns and Jim Lee.

The film showcases an alien invasion from Earth involving Mother-boxes, Para-demons, and the alien new God Darkseid. In order to stop this nefarious evildoer from taking over the world is for Earth’s greatest metahumans to form up for the first time and fight together as the Justice League. The squad this time around is made up of Green Lantern, Cyborg, Shazam, Wonder Woman, Flash, Superman, and Batman.

The entire ordeal was a big hit with fans, and IGN called it a “great modern origin story that will win you over with its action and humor.”

This is definitely a movie fans should watch if they weren’t a fan of either Justice League live-action film or for those that liked Zack Snyder’s Justice League movie and are upset it may never continue. At least the animated universe has a stellar Darkseid story for fans to enjoy.
