Amazon Prime’s Invincible has been renewed for two more seasons and it shouldn’t shock anyone.

Amazon Prime’s Invincible has been a major hit. It’s been funny, wholesome at times, violent without being gratuitous and the storytelling has been top notch.

The realistic view of a world in which super-powered beings exist has played into its favor too. While we’ve gotten that from Amazon Prime’s The Boys, this isn’t as dark or intentionally vulgar.

What’s even more impressive is that the show has enjoyed its fun and successful run while Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has been releasing new episodes. This is one of the fan theories behind why Amazon began releasing new episodes on Thursdays in spite of their InvincibleFriday hashtag. By avoiding the Marvel juggernaut, they ensured prime (pun intended) viewership.

With the successful run and the genius marketing team, no one should be shocked that Amazon Prime’s Invincible has been renewed for two more seasons.

Amazon’s Invincible renewed for seasons 2 and 3 and it’s no surprise

Let’s be honest, no one is really shocked by this. Amazon Prime’s Invincible has been incredible from start to finish. With plots like the mystery surrounding the Guardians of the Globes’ deaths to Mark (a.k.a. Invincible himself) becoming a better hero ensuring that viewers wanted more, they remained with the show its whole run, wondering what was going to happen next.

Those are only the major moments. All of the characters are crucial to the show’s progression. Let’s take Debbie Grayson for example. Her investigation over her husband Nolan (a.k.a. Omni-Man) and his strange behavior made her an integral part of the show.

The story of Invincible has a complete tale. One that’s going to make you smile, laugh, and cry. Topics will be touched on that you won’t see in other comic book TV shows or even in the movies. As we’ve seen so far, some of the material from the comic book series has been changed to fit the format of the show and modern audience. That means anything that hasn’t aged well will be changed – which is understandable considering that times change too. Yes, Invincible isn’t afraid to adapt.

You don’t have to be a fan of comic books to enjoy Amazon Prime’s Invincible. It’s a series that’s a step above most cartoons and shows period. By the time the show has concluded, it’ll be one of the greats – right up there with the ’90s X-Men series and Batman: The Animated Series.
