Batwoman season 2 brought a huge Bat-Family member into the Arrowverse.

The Arrowverse is in the business of adapting iconic DC Comics characters and stories. It has done so on the likes of ArrowThe Flash, DC’s Legends of TomorrowSupergirl Black LightningStargirl and Superman & Lois. It has also done it on Batwoman, bringing a number of iconic characters into the Arrowverse mix in recent months.

Of course, given the character the show is named after, Batwoman‘s introductions are almost always closely related to the Bat-Family, Gotham City or Batman himself. Since the second season began, we have seen Victor Zsasz and Black Mask make their presences felt on the show… and now, we have another iconic DC character.

Stephanie Brown/Spoiler arrives in Gotham City on Batwoman season 2

The latest episode of Batwoman, “I’ll Give You A Clue”, saw the show adapt the recurring Batman villain Cluemaster. While that in itself is another major reference we can add to the growing list of Bat-characters, it wasn’t the biggest one in the episode as we also saw the introduction of Stephanie Brown.

Portrayed by Morgan Kohan, this was the live-action debut of the character that fans have come to know as Spoiler in the DC Comics.

Who is Stephanie Brown/Spoiler in DC Comics?

Introduced in 1992, she was also the daughter of Cluemaster in the comics. However, she chose a more heroic route, taking up crimefighting and going by the codename Spoiler. She would subsequently become a member of the Bat-Family as she ever-so briefly became the fourth Robin before then becoming the fourth Batgirl.

Stephanie’s debut was revealed earlier this week and it resulted in quite a lot of excitement from fans of the character eager to see her make her live-action debut.

Batwoman season 2 airs on The CW on Sunday nights at 9:00 p.m. ET, immediately after DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
