3. Jonathan Majors

Jonathan Majors would be a casting that would allow Warner Bros to have that rising star they are reportedly interested in casting but also one who is very recognizable.

Majors has a powerful presence which was evident in Spike Lee’s critically-acclaimed Da 5 Bloods. The Netflix movie about a group of Vietnam War veterans searching for the remains of their deceased squad leader as well as some treasure they hid, Majors played the estranged son, David who – along with his father and three other vets – traveled back to Vietnam.

However, fans of HBO’s Lovecraft Country can see why he’s the perfect fit for JJ Abrams’ Kal-El. On the sci-fi fantasy HBO series, Majors stars as Attius, a geeky war vet who discovers a magical secret about his lineage. The 31-year old actor killed it as the unassuming hero of the series — he even wore glasses.

If Warner Bros has their eye on the young star, they aren’t alone. Disney already tapped him to play Kang The Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania – a role that could keep Majors busy for a while. Still, if they want a guy who will, beyond any doubt, nail it as both Kal-El and Clark Kent, Majors is the guy. In fact, WB could look to reunite Majors and director of Lovecraft Country, Misha Green if they were to offer the latter the role of director.
