What characters could Charlize Theron play in the MCU?

One thing we’ve seen in previous comic book projects is that people tend to gravitate towards new or unknown performers. The roles they are playing gives young/unknown actors and actresses a chance to shine and that’s something this writer agrees with, especially since it allows for the element of surprise. You don’t know what you’re going to get from them so you have to wait and see what kind of performances they put on. Whereas with well-known performers, you often know what you’re going to get. And yet, in this case, if she were to join the MCU, Charlize Theron could help add even more legitimacy to whatever comic book character she played.

We’ve only discussed Mystique though. There are other characters that Charlize Theron could play. The ideal role for her would be that of a veteran hero who has been saving people for years.

This writer would love to see her play Medusa of the Inhumans – which is a role that needs a complete makeover. Theron is more than capable of playing a regal character and she could easily make the character a strong voice for Black Bolt. We’ve seen her in Snow White and the Huntsman playing Ravenna – a role that’s very much like Emma Frost – a classy, and vain telepath with a taste for the finer things in life.

However, what if she could bring some spotlight to some of Marvel’s lesser-known characters?
