The Flash: Jared Padalecki suits up as Reverse-Flash in stunning new image
Anything could happen in upcoming DCEU movie The Flash and this awesome image of Jared Padalecki as Reverse-Flash highlights that.
Of all the superhero and comic book movies on the horizon, the two most intriguing are Spider-Man: Far From Home and The Flash. The two properties are expected to open up their respective universes to the concept of the multiverse, welcoming in older (and perhaps even parallel) non-canon properties into the wider continuity.
The DCEU installment is expected to do that through a live-action adaptation of legendary comic series Flashpoint – which sees Barry Allen, a.k.a. The Flash, travel back through time to save his mother from death, only to realize that this one decision has a dramatic impact on the timeline.
While a host of big DC names will undoubtedly join Ezra Miller’s Scarlet Speedster in the project, one character fans are expecting to see is the Reverse-Flash. Barry’s long-time archnemesis, Eobard Thawne has yet to be cast in the DCEU but that hasn’t stopped fans speculating which actors could play him.
What Jared Padalecki might look like as Reverse-Flash in The Flash movie
Digital artist Comic Universe recently shared some of their Flash fanart on social media. The stunning image imagines what Jared Padalecki would look like if he were to be cast in the DCEU project.

Sporting the character’s all yellow and black speedster uniform, Padalecki certainly looks the part as the iconic villain. And even though the veteran performer is renowned for playing good guys – something his roles as Dean Forrester on Gilmore Girls , Sam Winchester on Supernatural and the titular character on Walker highlights – he’s also no stranger to having a larger-than-life antagonistic on-screen presence when he wants to. This is something we saw throughout his 15-year stint on Supernatural.
The Flash will feature many larger-than-life characters as both Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck will be reprising their roles as their respective iterations of Batman while Sasha Calle will debut as Supergirl. Could Padalecki join them as Reverse-Flash?
