The Walking Dead is coming to Disney Plus
The Walking Dead is one of the most popular TV shows of this decade and now the whole series (and the new season) is going to be available on Disney+’s STAR service in the UK.
The Walking Dead is one of the biggest TV franchises of all time. AMC’s beloved zombie drama has been a staple of the television for over a decade now and even though the series will be bowing out with its final season in 2022, the franchise will live on through a number of spin-offs.
But it isn’t just Stateside audiences that love TWD as the show has a large global following too. One of the many countries that the show is popular in is the UK. And fans there will be able to watch it in a new way very soon.
The Walking Dead is coming to Disney Plus in the UK
It has been revealed that The Walking Dead will be arriving on Disney+’s STAR service in the UK from July 2. That means that all 10 seasons will available to watch from then. But to make things even better, the service will begin adding new episodes from the 11th and final season from August 23, following its broadcast in the U.S. the night before.

The show formerly aired on the FOX channel in the UK but it was recently announced that it would be closing on June 30 (after 17 years of broadcasting). This move was believed to be in favor of the Disney Plus streaming service, so there was a lot of speculation that heavy-hitter The Walking Dead would be making the move there soon.
It’s safe to say that fans of the show will be thrilled at the prospect of being able to watch the new season on the service while also having access to the previous 10 seasons.
