4. Lady Sif Returns!

In an unexpected turn of events, Jaimie Alexander returned to the MCU for the first time since Thor: The Dark World. Lady Sif was present through a time prison set up by Owen Wilson’s Agent Mobius to keep Loki stuck in one of the worst moments of his existence. This scene focused on Lady Sif’s hair being cut off by Loki, as she runs him down with insults and violence until Loki cannot handle it anymore.

The scenes are used for comedic effect to begin with, with the image of Sif getting Loki back on multiple occasions for cutting off her hair seems like a fittingly fun return given their tumultuous dynamic in the Thor movies, however the moment has darker undertones as Loki realizes that he will forever be alone if he carries on as he does and pretty much accepts that he is a narcissist. Not only does this scene strengthen Loki’s character (and displays an excellent performance from Tom Hiddleston), it allows fans to see the influence Sylvie is having on the God of Mischief.

After he discovered her existence, he realises that he is not going to be alone as long as she lives, showcasing why he cares so much about her. It also gives fans the chance to unexpectedly see the fan-favourite Lady Sif finally return to the MCU, just in time for her future appearance in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.
