5. Loki Falls for Sylvie

As the planet of Lamentis continues to crumble, Loki and Sylvie believe they are doomed. However, as Sylvie is destroyed over the fact that she is not able to complete her plans, Loki comes over to her in an attempt to comfort her. He even compliments her efforts in almost taking out the TVA.

The pair sit down waiting to die, as they hold hands and share a moment, implying that they were beginning to fall for each other. Loki especially seems smitten for Sylvie, which causes a major Nexus Event because two variants of the same person are falling in love. This results in the TVA being able to find the pair and take them into custody.

Throughout the rest of the episode, the Gods of Mischief seem a lot fonder of each other as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s trickster and his counterpart constantly care for each other and look out for the other throughout the episode.

It is amazing how far the two characters have come since their first meeting at the end of second episode where they were trying to kill each other. The God of Mischief falling for himself is also very in-character, with the pair sharing a lot of similarities (which isn’t surprising considering that they are both variants of the same person). Seeing how this relationship develops will be very interesting throughout the next two episodes – and for the development of both Loki and Sylvie.
