3. Has Mobius met his end?

Owen Wilson’s Agent Mobius has been one of the highlights of Loki. His chemistry with the titular God of Mischief and the charming nature of Wilson himself has led to fans falling in love with the character. After the big reveal that the TVA agents are all variants in the last episode, it was only a matter of time before Mobius figured out what was going on.

After discovering that Loki was telling him the truth, he releases the God of Mischief and discusses their plans to use the Nexus Event created by Loki and Sylvie to try and take down the TVA. However, Ravonna and the TVA have discovered that Mobius has sided with Loki as Mobius tries to talk his way out of the situation.

Knowing his fate is sealed, Mobius makes a defiant stand against the TVA and says that he would like to travel to wherever he is from and ride a jet ski. This leads to the popular character being “pruned” right before Loki’s eyes, leaving the God of Mischeif in tears (showcasing he does care about Mobius).

While the “death” seemed sudden and absolute, a scene later suggests that there is still a chance that Mobius is still alive. Still, as of now Wilson’s character is gone and it was a sad and shocking moment that might just have been the episode’s most shocking moment.
