Loki’s fifth episode may have featured quite the interesting nod to a Fantastic Four villain.

Loki has taken Marvel Cinematic Universe fans back into the world they love so much for the third time this year and it might just be the most important foray back into that world so far.

Focusing on the titular God of Mischief, the Disney Plus show has seen Loki find himself in the middle of a war between the Time Variance Authority and another Variant of him. However, this variant is a female named Sylvie who has been on the run while also secretly planning to dismantle the TVA from within.

The pair’s paths crossed in the second episode and it soon became clear that a lot more was aligning for them than just that. In realizing that they both wanted to get back at the TVA for erasing and pruning so many Lokis, they soon began to fall for each other.

They also managed to get themselves pruned and find their way to The Void, realizing that unexpected journey could be exactly what leads them to the person who created the TVA. But is that person the famed Fantastic Four villain Doctor Doom?

Did Doctor Doom create the TVA in Loki and are the Fantastic Four coming to the MCU?

The fifth episode of Loki saw the two variants discover that the Alioth was hiding something – or someone – within itself. That person, or entity, existed within the cloud-like beast but they also seemed to live in a dark castle-like building.

Naturally, this led a ton of MCU fans to assume that we were seeing the introduction of Victor von Doom because that building may have been none other than Castle Doom. While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, the fact that the Fantastic Four are coming to the MCU in 2023 definitely makes the introduction of their greatest villain a likely possibility.

That said, the person in this castle could actually be someone else entirely.

Either way, we’ll find out in next week’s finale.

Loki adds its season finale to Disney+ next Wednesday, July 14, at 12:00 a.m. PT and 3:00 a.m. ET.
