5. Maria Hill

Maria Hill has been in more than a few MCU projects. Sadly, she hasn’t had any starring roles. Besides Cobie Smulders being fantastic, the character Maria Hill should have been explored more because there is so much more story to tell. In Marvel Comics, she’s a take no mess character who was once the head of S.H.I.E.L.D. So far, we haven’t seen a tenth of what she can do.

So what would a prequel do for her future? Well it would showcase everything that Agent Hill is and help her progress further in the MCU. How did Maria Hill gain Nick Fury’s trust? He barely trusts the people around him. What happened to her after Captain Marvel? What were the moments that led her to becoming one of Earth’s protectors? Once we’ve seen what she can do, we can move on to making her a more integral part of the MCU.

4. Melinda May

More than anyone we’ve seen, we need a Melinda May prequel. We’ve seen and heard bits and pieces about the kind of person she was back in the day. Apparently she pulled pranks and was quite different to the hero we met in Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. We know the moment that caused her to change. Nevertheless, it would be nice to see the other side of The Cavalry.

The funny thing is that Ming-Na Wen could play herself ten years younger and no one would know the difference. She’s aged better than anyone not named Angela Bassett. The chance to meet Melinda a year before her tragic incident would be something fans would undoubtedly tune in to see. They would also be eager to see what she was like before becoming the bad-ass we see today.

This could be a solo movie or a one-season miniseries that details her journey to the hero she becomes. Either way, it would be a must-see.
