Marvel Studios: Thanos and 10 other MCU prequels we could see
By Mark Lynch
3. Okoye
Okoye is the fiercest warrior in the Dora Milaje. She’s loyal to Wakanda and everything that it’s supposed to represent. It’s the reason why she’s trusted above all of the other warriors and is their military leader. We’ve seen her go above and beyond what she’s expected to do – like being the voice of reason with T’Challa in regards to his personal life.
Why was Okoye selected to be a Dora Milaje or was she picked when young like the comics? What was she like when she was training? Was she always a skilled woman or did she work harder than everyone else? How did she become close to the royal family? Did she save one of their lives or did they notice her hard work? Not just anyone can be so trusted to go with T’Challa on sensitive missions. And, as we’ve seen in the MCU, Okoye doesn’t take any mess from anyone. Why did she choose to believe in T’Challa and their family?
There is so much more to Okoye’s story just waiting to be told.
2. Rocket and Groot
This could be the funniest prequel ever. Rocket and Groot had to have gone on all sorts of crazy missions throughout their time together. Rocket is incredibly sarcastic, snippy, and has a tendency to shoot first and ask questions later (especially when money is involved). Groot seems to go along with all of his shenanigans until Rocket gets greedy or out of line. At that point Groot calls him out for being a jerk.
It seems like Groot is one of the few beings that Rocket trusts with his life. Why is that? It’s not like Rocket is someone who lets people into his life freely. There had to have been years of working on their relationship before they could get there. It would be cool to see the happenstance that brought them together and the bond that kept them friends.
