After all, the DC character Harley Quinn has become a force to be reckoned with since she first arrived in the legendary Batman: The Animated Series. There hasn’t been any kind of official release date or plan put out for Harley Quinn season 3. However, showrunner Justin Halpert did hint at a possible premiere timetable when he was doing an interview on the podcast Masters of None, indicating it could be some time in late 2021 or early 2022.

"“I think it’ll probably come out either the very end of this year or the beginning of next, just because animation takes so long.”"

The good news is it seems that production is already underway for Harley Quinn season 3, which means Halpert’s remarks could be accurate. Executive Producer Patrick Schumaker revealed on his Twitter that he had begun recording for the show in February 2021.

There has not been any official cast list put out for Harley Quinn season 3 at this time. But it’s safe to presume that some new voices, as well as some familiar ones, will most assuredly be in the mix.

It has been reported that Sam Richardson has been added to the cast for Harley Quinn season 3 in an undisclosed role. For those that don’t know, Richardson is a talented and hilarious actor known for his roles on Veep, Werewolves Within, and M.O.D.O.K.

And it appears Schumaker worked with a very special guest star that he believes fans will be very excited to have in play for Harley Quinn season 3. Some think the #DontGetTooAttached hashtag refers to a member of The Suicide Squad, given their tendency not to last very long.

When discussing what could go down in Harley Quinn season 3 at DC FanDome, showrunner Halpern claimed they want to focus on Ivy and Harley’s relationship.

"“We want to focus on Harley and Ivy’s relationship. I’m less interested in if the Joker gets a new girlfriend or not than I am in [exploring] this relationship that we’ve spent two years building.”"

Halpern also revealed in an interview on the Masters of None podcast that the writers have something very intriguing planned for the Clown Prince of Crime and that they are going to “do something with the Joker that has never been done in any Joker story.”
