The newest episode of Marvel’s What If…? showed the world the team of Tony Stark and Erik Killmonger.

The last three episodes of Marvel’s What If…? have been sad. We’ve seen the death of the Avengers, the end of a reality, and a universe overrun by zombies. The newest episode wasn’t as bad, but still had it’s sorrowful moments. Among them were the deaths of Tony Stark, James Rhodes, and T’Challa – all of whom were killed by Erik Killmonger.

Despite this being another melancholic episode, What If…?‘s sixth installment had a lot to love about it. Among its best aspects were the fact that we got more of Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger. Not only that, we saw how things would have turned out if he had won. He managed to trick everyone from Tony Stark to the people of Wakanda. The only people who didn’t fall for his games were Shuri and Pepper Potts. Now, it’s up to them to save everyone.

Even though this was a pretty straight-forward ending, there are still questions that need to be answered.

5. What happens to the Avengers?

Without Tony Stark, the Avengers as we know them will never be complete. And with General Ross and the United States military going after Wakanda, it’s doubtful that there was any money left to fund the Avengers. Not that it would stop Captain America, Black Widow, or Nick Fury from protecting the world if they could. Still though, it makes you wonder what happened to them.

It’s doubtful that they would have joined the U.S. Military in their battle against Wakanda. However, after finding out what Killmonger did, it would have been easy to show T’Chaka what happened to T’Challa.
