Teen Wolf is coming back in a revival movie but which cast members are returning and which ones aren’t?

Teen Wolf fans received the news they had been waiting years for as it was confirmed that the beloved MTV series would be revived in the form of a movie on Paramount Plus.

That long-awaited news quickly sent the internet into meltdown as the fans took to social media and had the show, along with some of its characters, trending within minutes of the official announcement.

Speaking of that announcement, it confirmed that the show’s executive producer, Jeff Davis, would return to bring the movie to life, with original cast members in talks to return as well. But just who is coming back for the film? Teen Wolf had many generations of characters (at least two of which could be considered original), so who will we see return?

Here’s what we know in regards to the cast members that may or may not return.

Who is returning for the Teen Wolf movie?

The first name that will no doubt be returning for Teen Wolf: The Movie is Tyler Posey. The film’s synopsis centers on Scott McCall’s return, so you can bet that Posey will be at the center of the movie just like he was in the TV series.

As for who else is coming back? Well, actors such as Holland Roden (Lydia Martin), Colton Haynes (Jackson Whittemore), Shelley Hennig (Malia Tate), Cody Christian (Theo Raeken), Dylan Sprayberry (Liam Dunbar), Melissa Ponzio (Melissa McCall), Linden Ashby (Sheriff Noah Stilinski), Ian Bohen (Peter Hale), Khylin Rhambo (Mason Hewitt) and Ryan Kelley (Deputy Jordan Parrish) have all made reference to the trailer and the announcement on social media, suggesting that they will all return in the movie. Some, such as Ashby, have confirmed their participation.

Ashby has also seemingly confirmed that Dylan O’Brien will reprise his role as Stiles Stilinski – something that the teaser trailer also suggested when it prominently featured Stiles’ jeep.

Is Crystal Reed coming back for Teen Wolf: The Movie?

The one name that fans have been curious about is that of Crystal Reed. Perhaps seen as the least likely to return given how her character, Alison Argent, was shockingly written out in the show’s third season, it seems like that may not be the case after all.

Like her co-stars, Reed took to social media to share the trailer with the caption “IT’S A HAPPY FRIDAY”. She then followed that up with a story post on her Instagram account that also shared the news with the caption “outta my mind ecstatic”.

Fans are now wondering if Alison will make a shocking return in the movie, allowing the show to make up for one of its few wrongs. We can only hope right?!

Who is not returning for the Teen Wolf movie?

While no actor has definitively confirmed they will not appear in the movie, names like Tyler Hoechlin (Derek Hale), Arden Cho (Kira Yukimura), Daniel Sharman (Isaac Lahey) and Michael Johnston (Corey Bryant) have yet to confirm if they will be involved.
